AMBIKA CHAKRABARTI
Sept 28, 1892 – March 6, 1962

Founding member of the Chittagong Revolutionary Organization in 1918 – long-time associate of Masterda

Takes part in numerous revolutionary activities, and jailed several times, and survives cyanide poisoning

Leads the attack on the Telegraph Office on April 18, 1930

Left for dead at the April 22, 1930 battlefield of Jalalabad, but survives

Sent to the Andaman Cellular Jail for life in March 1932

Released just before Indian Independence

Joins the Communist Party and serves as a Member of the Bengal Legislature

Ambika Chakrabarti is played by talented and versatile Dibyendu Bhattacharya
